MPN: MRAY-IG
The Manta Ray gets its name from its two matching ‘wings’ of chimes, which are suspended on a strong stainless steel cable coated by a layer of protective nylon. This unique design lowers the pitch and resonance of the keys to produce a deep sound and give the feeling that the musician is playing on thin air. Although its sculptural design has a light and elegant appearance, it is deceptively durable and should have no problem surviving years of frequent use and weather. The trio of metal arms which support the 36 anodized aluminum keys are made from steel with a smooth, powder coated finish which is resistant to rust and corrosion. Each half of the Manta Ray comes with its own pair of mallets and the same series of 18 notes in the C Major key, making this another Freenotes instrument which is perfect for use by two people playing a duet together.
